FACILITIES

The Broken Hill Regional Events Centre covers 76.39 hectares and comprises the following facilities which are available for hire.

Pavilion with the capacity to hold over 800 people including:

  • Kitchen
  • Cool room

Three Grandstands

  1. Members Grandstand & Atco Hut used for photo finish on race days
  2. Mick Robins Grandstand with function area underneath
  3. Derby Stand

Three indoor bars

  1. The Shed
  2. President’s Bar
  3. Members Bar

Two outdoor bars

  1. Owners & Trainers Bar
  2. Volunteers Bar

Administration Building (Secretary/Treasurers Office for race meetings & other events)

Shade sails covering 2050m² over betting ring & food court area

Fenced grassed area ~9600m² under sub-surface irrigation except for the following:

  1. Mounting yard
  2. Parade Ring

Stables for overnight accommodation for 65 horses and day stalls for 120 horses

3 public toilet blocks:

  • Betting ring multi-purpose toilet block & Media Centre - 12 female cubicles - 6 male cubicles and urinal - Babies change room with toilet - Disabled access toilet
  • Food Court Ladies - 12 cubicles
  • Derby Stand Toilet Block - 11 female cubicles including one with disabled access - 4 male cubicles including one with disabled access

 Members Grandstand facilities include

  • Presidents Bar with male & female toilets
  • Broadcast Room
  • Stewards Room
  • Jockeys weigh-in room

  • 2 open showers

 Female jockeys room with

 Big Barn has 21 temporary (portable) showers which are dismantled for race meetings

 Three chillers/cool rooms (property of the St Patrick’s Race Club)

 Agfair Site (fenced) inside the race track with:

  • Admin Building
  • Storage Container – used as a bar for field days

 Three car parking areas:

  •  Main car park – parking for approximately 1000 vehicles
  • Pavilion car park – parking for approximately 500 vehicles
  • Agfair site – parking for over 2000 vehicles
